On Sunday afternoon, as I'm driving towards downtown, I get stuck in a traffic jam. I'm thirsty and trying to get to the pub. I park the car, and me and a friend walk towards the capitol. We end-up right in the middle of some kind of march on the capitol.
There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of people marching. I notice only a few signs. They say "Kerry/Edwards". These were lawn signs, not homemade ones. The marchers were walking at a pretty good pace, seemed to be enjoying the weather, but were dead silent...No chanting, screaming...nothing!
There was absolutely no excitement...NONE! It was really strange. I've seen protests at the capitol before with only a dozen people who made more of an impression.
Looking for news online about this, I couldn't find anything. Strange though, the evening before 300 people protested the local paper for endorsing Bush. It made the news.
