XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN JUNE 02, 2002 18:04:09 ET XXXXX U-TURN: BUSH ADMIN OUTLINES 'GLOBAL WARMING' EFFECTS ON AMERICA; ACKNOWLEDGES DAMAGE In a stunning U-turn for the Bush administration, the United States has sent a climate report to the United Nations detailing "specific and far-reaching effects" that it says "global warming will inflict" on the American environment. MORE Also for the first time -- the White House places "most of the blame for recent global warming on human actions -- mainly the burning of fossil fuels that send heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere," the NEW YORK TIMES is planning to report on Monday Page Ones, according to publishing sources. The United States will be substantially changed in the next few decades, claims the Bush report. The United States will "very likely" be seeing the "disruption of snow-fed water supplies, more stifling heat waves and the permanent disappearance of Rocky Mountain meadows and coastal marshes." Yes. But if I have to explain it, you simply haven't been paying enough attention. Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, hasn't been running his team the way I think it oughtta be run. That, however, doesn't mean that I'll be buying one of those cheese-wedge Packer hats anytime soon. Loyalty means putting up with some minor bullsh|t ever once and awhile. So President Gore would be better? George W. is just listening to the wrong advisors, that's all. He'll come around. Eric The(Otherwise-[b]KeyesIn2004![b]ForMe)Hun[>]:)]
