[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buffer Spring Confusion

So I've been told that I rifle length buffer spring won't work in a carbine. I've been told that they will. I just got my Larue chrome silicon buffer spring and it is slightly longer then my carbine length buffer spring. Will this cause me issues?
