I was browsing hulu yesterday in search of something new and found a British comedy called Bluestone 42. Its about a Brit eod team in Afghanistan. Gave it a watch  and it actually turned out to be really funny. Makes me wonder if theres any other UK comedy shows worth watching. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I also rediscovered Red Dwarf. I thought it was finished in the 90s, turns out it still technically in production so there were some new to me episodes I watched. Another good one.

Jesus the list is endless. So much good Brit humor, so much better than 90% of American comedies.
To add to the list:
Yes minister
A bit of Fry and Laurie
Monty Python (duh)
In the loop (on Netflix)
Coupling
I can't think of any more but there are tons.

You forgot the sequel to "Yes, Minister", "Yes, Prime Minister"!

There's also the original show that House of Cards is based on.  I don't remember the name but it was full of dark comedy. It has two sequels, "To Play the King" and "The Final Cut".

Also, "Last of the Summer Wine" if for nothing else, the stunning scenery and architecture of rural England.

"Keeping Up Appearances" for a glimpse of Brit class hatred.

Don't forget "The Office" and "AbFab".

There's even a new one on starring Sirs Ian McKellen and Derek Jacoby as a couple of aging queens.

It was called... House of Cards And it was very good. It probably helps a bit to have more understanding of the context of the time, of course, much like the American version.

It always takes me about 10 minutes to "tune in" to the Brit humor, then I think it's hilarious. MST3k was always the same way for me. Took a bit to get in synch, then I'd be laughing.

Always enjoyed Father Ted.

It was a sad day when Dermot Morgan (the comedian who played Father Ted) died.   Can't believe it was back on 1998.

If you can find Monty Python, then Benny Hill, which I thought was funnier, should be around.

There's also Canadian humor in Red Green. That guy used a lot of duck tape.
