For the last 17 Presidential elections, if the Washington Redskins won, the party in power retained the Whitehouse. If they lost, the opposition candidate took the Whitehouse.

Today:

Green Bay 28
Washington 14

And the Weekly Reader election survey has been correct every single election...and they picked President Bush. So pick your superstition.

One of them will have to fall. Looks like it will be the NFL. (Final will be: 60% to Bush, 40% to Kerry)

Trust me, this election will NOT be decided by the outcome of this game.

My roommate has a theory. Because the Red Sox won the sports cosmos has been altered. Therefore, all sports correlations are reversed.

they have missed one between bush sr and clinton, from what i have seen on the news last week.

Since 1956, Weekly Reader students have correctly picked the president 11 out of 12 times, making the Weekly Reader poll one of the most accurate predictors of presidential outcomes in history. www.weeklyreader.com/election_vote.asp

Yes, but the survey didn't include Perot's name, so...

Economy is growing.

Country is at war.

Down-to-earth incumbent President with deep spiritual faith.

Bland, uninspiring ultra-leftist opponent.

It shouldn't even be close - but it is.

It should be a blowout - but it won't be.

GWBush should win easily - but he won't.

I don't like it but that's the way I see it.

I really, really hope I'm very, very wrong.

Jeez, now I know what all the undecideds were waiting for. I always thought they were just uneducated, stupid people who didn't pay attention to politics. They were just waiting for the Redskins game.

Doesn't mean shit as long as Kerry thinks the Cheeseheads play at "Lambert Field."
Link Posted: 10/31/2004 2:49:20 PM EST
In every other election, both candidates have been sports fans. Kerry is a sports fag.
The asshole flinches like a girl when he tries to catch a football for Pete's sake.
Therefore all sports tradition and myths have no meaning for this election.
Link Posted: 10/31/2004 2:54:44 PM EST
My wonderfully socialist economics professor bases elections on who is taller. He believes that since Kerry is a little taller, he'll win.

Then again, he also tried to tell us that the assault weapon ban was against machine guns...

And no MLB team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit to win in World Series. Just ask the Red Sox.

I bumped the bookshelf today and my Scud Humter Greg doll fell over hit Furby on the head with his Barrett M82A1, Furby woke up and yawned and said "OK" "Bush Bush Bush!" his ears went up and formed a "W"

Edited, upon re-reading, it sounded Gay.
