When I fry my eggs in bacon grease, they come out with the little bits of bacon on them, kind of brown all over and have the crispy,lacey edges.

You must have some damned clean bacon grease or you cheated yourself and fried them in butter or........

oil.

Their cheaper when ordered directly, 5 to 6 year wait though. There are some vendors or eBay that have them without the wait, but you'll pay a high dollar premium.
