Ok, so it's not as good as yesterday's Steak Breakfast, but to make up for it I added a battle rifle in the picture.

Bacon, bacon and more bacon.

Biscuits, one with bacon, one covered in honey.

Chocolate milk.

Colt Series 70 1911 chambered in 45 ACP. Wilson fitted barrel and bushing, beveled mag well, trigger job, Alumagrips, etc...

M1A Scout clone. Armscorp receiver, Polytech barrel, GI trigger group, GI bolt (SA), GI fiberglass stock, homemade paint job, etc...

Enjoy:

Simple...nice ! Not to hi-jack your thread, but how do you like that Scout? I've got a standard and often wondered how the accuracy differs between the two...

Thanks.

It's not a SOCOM, it's a custom made bastard. Springfield Armory would call it a M1A Scout. It has a 18" Polytech barrel and a Smith Enterprise front rail. Armscorp manufactured the receiver. Supposedly, Springfield Armory is not the same Springfield Armory that produced M14 parts.

As far as how I like it; it's the bee's knees! It hits like the hammer of God. The only time it has ever failed to chamber and fire a round, I had mistakenly put the gas plug on loose. It used to be real fun to shoot before the price of ammo went through the roof. Now it sees little action.

edited to add: I bought it for substantially less than a new SOCOM yet it is a much better weapon, IMHO.

I've read that, all other things being equal, you only lose velocity by going with the shorter barrel, not accuracy.
