Went to the store tonight to buy new running shoes. I always have the best luck with Nikes - they seem to fit me better. Rebock shoes caused me damage to my feet, and Adidas just dont fit right. So after picking out my new Nikes I happened to check out a pair of New Balance shoes. I happened to read the tag that said "Proudly Made in the USA". So now I'll be seeing if my feet like New Balance Shoes. The Made in the USA vs. Made in Taiwan was the deciding factor.

Your shoes would last longer if you alternate daily wearing of your shoes to give them a chance to dry out from your perspiration.

I have been buying the same brand and style of shoe for the last four years, a New balance "336".
I replace them about once a year as I generally wear them out by then.
This year I was forced to buy the next model up the "405" becuase shoe carnival was out of the 336's and after about two months in them, I can say I am equally happy with the newer model.

I've always had brand loyalty to Nike, just like I do to Anchor Blue khaki's. I've been wearing a pair of Nikes almost every day for 3 years now. I think it's almost time to retire them.

NB comes in wide sizes and some of the models are USA made and others are imported

I'm on my second pair of New Balance 991s. This model is made in the USA. They cost more than running shoes I've owned previously but they are more comfortable than any shoes I've ever owned. They feel cushioned yet supportive at the same time. Unlike many other running shoes, they come in various widths so you can get a proper fit. Great shoes!

Im sure you will like the NB's. They have the most size options for width. They are my favorite. Next time you are shopping for running shoes, go to a runners specialty store, and have them give your feet an evaluation. Most specialty shops do this free of charge. This will help you find the correct type of shoe for your foot, which will help avoid future injury.

I am the PoPo.

Tried them out this afternoon. Better than my worn out Nikes for sure. I think I like them, but I'll need to run with them some more to really know.

I love new balance, best runnig shoes I've owned. Got them after reading in a running forum about them being better on the feet and knees for big guys (I'm 603, 215 lbs)

Had three pairs now and won't go back.

Very few of their styles are actually 100% made in the USA. Usually only the higher priced styles, like the 991 and the 2000. They are good shoes nonetheless. They tend to hold up longer than any other brand.

I wish NB would go pubic

You want a New Balance jock strap?

ETA New Balance are great shoes, I've had a couple pairs that I've worn to death (holes, filthy, shredded laces, flattened insoles). Right now I have a pair of Adidas I really like, but when I can't wear them anymore, I'd buy New Balance again.

New Balance!! +1

I always wore New Balance when I was running seriously starting in college. I went to BC and used to go to the factory outlet.

I run a couple of miles everyday... I can tell you this, having had a couple of knees surgeries and being around 250, every doc I have ever talked to tells me to run in NB shoes and nothing else. Have been wearing them for years now, just got my new 807s a couple of weeks ago and I think NB just keeps getting better and better!

Been exclusively NB for several years. Can't find a 4E width just anywhere.

I run in Brooks. I'm not a little guy and the Brooks Beast has worked out really well for me. They ain't the lightest shoe on the market but they offer good stability and last.

New Balance.

I have a couple pair of New Balance also, so does my wife and daughter. Too bad they look like dog poo compared to some nike shox.

Seriously though, NB are great shoes, not as easy on your feet or heals as Nike but nice just the same. If you run in the woods at all then Adidas cannot be beat.

Just bought Brooks Dyad to replace Brooks Vantage that I wore out. I run 18 miles per week now and will be increasing a little ever couple of weeks. The Vantages were real good for a few months.

I also have bought quite a few pair of New Balance; am wearing my third pair of 806 Trail Runners now; they are for the woods.

Being a big tubby bitch myself - NB is the way to go.

I get less tendonitis when I wear Nikes as opposed to just about anything else, including New Balance.
