Good news! They DID NOT charge my credit card until they actually had all the items and shipped! Bad News, 2 months and 8 phone calls, they never did ship. When I cancelled the order and verified thay had not charged the card they did call back and offer free shipping. I opted no. |
+1 They're service sucks. I used to swear by them. The first few times I ordered, everything was shipped in a timely manner. The third or fourth time I'd been waiting over a week and nothing came in. Nada. No merchandise, no letter, no word from Botach. I called them and managed to talk to a real person who told me the item was backordered 2 weeks. Sure enough, a package showed up within two weeks and I thought nothing of it. The next time I ordered, no package after a week. Called them and was told two weeks. Waited two weeks and no package. Called and was told two weeks. Two weeks later, still nothing. Cancelled order. Never have and never will go back. On the other side of the coin, I've ordered online from Denny at GTS several times since September. The first time he sent me Tango Down rail covers instead of the Magpuls I wanted. I call GTS and Denny answers the phone himself. He apologizes, tells me to mail them back. I do so and he doesn't charge me shipping. I also get a nice e-mail thanking me and offering to "do me right" the next time. The order was made right in less than a week from ordering, including return shipping time. Once, he called me to tell me that he was waiting on one item to come in and he'd ship the day it came arrived, which was only three days after I placed the order. Another time, he personally called me to let me know that an 4 port YHM Phantom I ordered was out of stock. He wanted to know if I'd take the slightly different 5 port Phantom Comp or cancel the order. That gentlemen, is service. |
Yes, Denny/GTS ROCKS!

Seriously, you have over 2000 posts on this board and you still did business with Botach? I'd say you pretty much got what you deserved. Not trying to be mean but dang, if 400 people tell you something is hot, do you still touch it to find out? |

The key to working with Botach is not to order online. Make out your shopping list online, then call and confirm the every item is in stock. A convoluted process to be sure, but the savings can be worth it. I've used them many times using this system and have never had any problems. ETA: I placed an order for a M3 light adapter from GG&G six months ago and still have heard nothing from them. |
I've had a couple of orders with them that went fine. Saved a lot of money. Then I got the e-mail about the CHEAP Glock mags, fish takes the hook... |
