I would assume that Holywood butchered the real story to portray him as a anti-war peacenic......don't know the real story so I won't say one way or other.

It seemed to me that he ran out of ammo, and decided to beat the shit out of his M-14 instead of ask for more ammo. |

They also left out Ron's first tour of the Nam. By all accounts he was one of the most gung-ho marines around. The movie starts on his second tour and it depicts him as being green/lost/new to the Nam which is BULLSHIT.

Oliver Stone and Mikey Moore are both hollywierd producers of left wing agitprop. I didn't see any "problem" that was "expressed" in the movie that was not directly caused by the dimokratik arbeiter parti.
Except for the "fact" that soldiers .....DO...... go in harm's way. |

So it WAS on there, I was watching Platoon a few weeks ago and I told my wife that I coulda sworn I just saw a nazi flag on that thing.....she was like
