Dang!  When will they stop?  Hopefully they'll never name one after the Titanic.

Emirates Airlines, a growing carrier in the United Arab Emirates, ordered 42 777s in November, but is pressuring Boeing for a bigger 787. Qantas Airways Ltd. of Australia ordered 45 787s last week, plus options and purchase rights for more, and has said it would be interested in a larger 787 if Boeing built it.

So, GWBs policies are not doing anything for the economy.

787 aint nothin compared to the 747-8 stretch thats coming down the pike.  uses the 787 quieter more efficient engines and can seat up 650.  Boeings answer to Airbus' A 380. It is apprx 18 ft longer and is scheduled to be flown by '08-09 time frame....

hot-link to 747 8 stretch

But even that's not as big as the once proposed 747-X that they were talking about in 1989 when I last worked at Boeing.  The -X would extend the top upper deck all the back making it a double-decker.

I shudder at the thought of getting on a plane with 649 stinky tourists for a 18-hour flight. This is not Hell on Earth. This is Hell at 39,000 feet above Earth.

they dont want them for tourists, the plan is to load them up with armies and fly all of them at the same time to this country, but first they will send cargo ships full of supplies and weapons and have them ready at port .  they learned from the war on drugs with mexico that the U.S cant stop all of the shipments, so they realized that when they all come at once, some will get through, thats the reason for the ultra high capacity planes, china is planning the same event, red dawn disquised as a trojan horse, and they will laugh that we sold them all of it.the libs will relish in their own demise. the will first close all of the mac donalds and destroy your new tv sets

We'd notice a whole bunch of civilian planes coming our way.   At a minimum the chinese would have to fly 1000 planes at us at once.
