I have a Samsung BD-5300. I have an ethernet cable from the player to my wireless router. All of the sudden after months of no problems. I have a problem with Netflix. When I start it it says its not connected to the internet. My youtube app works fine though. I go into settings>network settings>wired. And its telling me I have succesfully connected to the internet. Any ideas? My son is dying for some Caillou.

Have you restarted the router?  And/or the cable/dsl box?

Samsung blu-ray's are notorious for this problem, as well as their failing HDMI ports.

I hope it still has the warranty.

When you hear hoof beats, you should think "horses" not "zebras."

If your internet connection is funcional and all other apps work your problem probably lies with netflix, not your BD player.

Have you tried updating the firmware on the Blu-ray player?

Netflix, the problem is.

It's been kind of cranky on my Xbox the last few weeks.

I made the mistake of getting a Samsung BluRay with my TV.  Samsung TV is flawless, the BluRay is junk.

I wonder how long the warranty is I have had it about 3 months from Best Buy.
