PS3 is the ONLY way to go. Wireless Internet firmware updates...it just doesn't get any easier. You'll never have to worry about your player being out of date or incompatible with a blu-ray release.

PS3 the only recommended player by Blu-Ray

The Blu-ray set up at best buy to show pirates of the carribean had a terrible picture every time there was a sequence with intense action or fast movement.

Made me NOT want to get one.

That would be a problem with the t.v. not the Blu-Ray

or POTC's SFX!

I'm gonna hold out for a 2.0.  I just wonder if all the Blu-ray discs being released right now will reappear in even more impressive versions in a year or two (with better bitrate, etter menus, etc.).

Check here for lots of Blu-ray info (it's the arfcom of Blu-ray discussion boards):

I love my PS3.  My TV is 720p/1080i so I cant see the full benefits when watching blu rays, but there is a huge noticeable difference on animated movies when compared to a normal dvd.
