The term "abo" is regarded to be highly racists. The equivalent of the N-word.

Also known as bongs/bungs (depending on who's pronouncing it and how heavy their accent is- also derogatory but not in the same way some of them take being called abos; most didn't seem to care about being called aborigines in my limited interactions with them). I skimmed through the video and there didn't appear to be nearly the requisite amount of alcohol, profanity, fighting, etc. I met a couple who were nice folks, I'll just leave it at that.

Quoted: What do they prefer? I’m ignorant of their culture. No disrespect intended. View Quote They don't really have one. No written language, no educational history, no particular organization beyond clans and tribes. If you dive into it, expect some whitebread David Attenborough wannabe to voice over a documentary about their majestic nature, some creation mythology that sounds like what a new age hippy who collects crystals might think up, and uluru or some shit despite their inability to fashion anything worthy of being called history after tens of thousands of years in the same place. Not exactly an enviable culture, and whatever one's beliefs are about IQ and race, they are definitely low performers on the average. Huffing petrol and sleeping on roads was the most common pastime my aussie friends would notice from them. Look out for people - Imparja Road Safety Advertisements This is an actual australian PSA telling them not to sleep in the fucking road and I am not kidding. |

So these BLACK AS videos tone down the actual cultural experience? You were there and interacted with these people? Yes, I worked in Western Australia for a couple of years. Let's just say that some of them were very nice folks, then there were the rest of them. They were treated horribly by the British/Australian government until relatively recently and like our natives, don't handle alcohol well. It's a hard life there, it's even harder when your society is broken, has massive drug and alcohol problems, low IQs, etc. |

When I went to Australia back in the mid 80's during a few port visits on the Missouri, everybody there called them 'abo's' and described them as paint huffing violent drunks. The Aussies I met back then spoke their mind and didn't seem to give a shit about being politically correct. Things seem to have changed a lot down there.
