You can use the logarithmic chart on the weekly time frame for that. It’s not perfect but it gets you in the ballpark.

That doesn’t include institutional holders, lost coins, and current supply calculations, so the number available per person will be much lower.

Is the supply too low to support commerce?

Do you envision sub tokens or alts that will have higher supply numbers that will be used to pay for everyday expenses?

Don’t misinterpret my question as criticism, I’m just curious about the logistics. I still believe that BTC is basically “perfect money” when it comes to supply/inflation. But how would the rest of the monetary ecosystem work?

Thats why i think litecoin is more suited for that job, faster transactions, 4x supply but still capped limit.

LTC is a legacy coin too. I’m no expert in this realm but I’m betting it will be a newer, relatively little-known coin. I’ve posted Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) in here before, but check it out. Large institutions adopting it and joining the governing council, and what appears to be one of if not the best coin technologies out there. VERY fast transactions. I’m likely shooting myself in the foot as I haven’t accumulated enough yet but it looks like it will be the future. All alts are rolls of the dice so caveat emptor.

The established, legitimate US based ones probably have to.

The shady one's based in eastern europe or asia ?  Probably not.

If you’re worried about taxes / audit like I am - look at the grayscale trust efts.

That being said I’m balancing mine out to 1:3 - $1 in coins / $3 in efts. Might go a little higher some day on the actual coin ownership side.

But the efts are easy for tax reasons. But you pay for that.

FFFFFFF UUUUUUU KUCOIN!!!!!!!

Deposited in an attempt to avoid ridiculous Ethereum fees to buy something. Now they require a numeric password to trade when I never set one up and had to give them a copy of my ID and a mugshot to reset it. Now it says 1-3 days to approve my reset and another 24 hours to withdraw.

No, it's another 6 digit numeric password in addition to 2FA and SMS verification. They approved my password reset pretty quickly but it was a major pain in the ass. Still will be 24 hours before I can withdraw but at least I was able to get my trade through.

Going in pretty hard on gamer coins. High risk but hopefully high returns.

I transferred MATIC from mainnet so no KYC.

The photo ID and mugshot I had to send for the password reset isn't technically KYC although it was equally intrusive.

All of these are highly risky and most likely going to zero. Buying any of these (especially the last two) is probably like lighting your money on fire.

PYR, WARS, SUPER, ICE (Decentral Games not Popcycle, but I'm mega bullish on that too), and one I'm embarrassed to publicly admit to DOGIRA.

ICE, SUPER, and DOGIRA can be found on Quickswap (Polygon chain) which is nice because the gas fees are nearly zero. I think SUPER is the only one that shows up in the DEX without having to search the token by contract number.

Interesting. Never heard of unminable. I did some quick calcs, and it seems like they’re quite a bit below my expected payout - comparing ETH to ETH.

Not sure how this translates to the other coins. Not to mention the 1% fee.

So, seems like I’d be in a worse spot using unminable - can’t speak for others and their setup(s).

My worst panic sell was the Bitcoin Cash flippening from 2017. I'd been in bitcoin, LTC, and ether only a short bit. Had a little money to play but not to lose. Then after a series of mysterious internet rumors and tweets about the miners all switching their hash rate to BTrash from BTC, and watching the price of BTC plummet the same time BTRASH pumped to something like $2400... That was a wtf did I put my money into panic moment.

PP still hasn't implemented withdrawals.  What useless shit are they going to do this time around ?  Allow you to buy crypto on their platform and then spend it via paypal to get bent over and dicked in the ass with short term capital gains ?

*EDIT*

I've explained the basis for its intrinsic value here in these very forums exhaustively since 2013.  I'm sorry you didn't hear me back then.

Bitcoin has already burst several times.  You aren't pitching anything new or insightful.

In 2011, it crashed from $32 to $2.
In 2013, it crashed from $1,200 to $170.
In 2017, it crashed from $20,000 to $3,500.

Guys like you took victory laps every single time it has happened yet here we are at $60k.  You think this is is the first time I've had this conversation?  This is my 3rd go around in 8 years engaging with the tulips theory guys.  We had comments just like yours back in 2013 and 2017.

@SWOH

ETA:  I found one of my old posts (of many) in the archives from 2013 where I described the basis for intrinsic value for Bitcoin:

Good info. Thanks.

I'm running unmineable on a couple of older laptops, just cpu hashing. Definitely leaving a bit of coin on the table for convenience of 1 click mining on hardware that typically just runs my kids browser based learning apps.
