I've owned Firebirds for almost 20 years. I'm on my third one now, a stock '95 3.4L V6. Had an '82 TA and an '85 SE I bought for $200.
Pretty functional with a hatchback, I carried 2'x4' sheets of plywood in my SE and all the wood to build my deck. I wouldnt do that in this one though. The SE was a beater.

Here's my present Bird.

When I was a kid I would have done anything for a Trans Am.  My Uncle owns a body shop so he got some sheet metal, painted it gold and put a gold 1979 Fire Chicken hood decal on it for me.  I was floored.  I was the only 12 year old that I knew with a muscle car monument on my wall

It's out in the garage now buried behind some crap  Never did get a T/A but I did have a '70 RS Camaro.  Those were the days......

I lucked out and found my car which came from Florida and has never seen snow.

Man, you got that righ! Cars down here are unbelievable for a Canuck like me. My '95 has no rust at all anywhere, even underneath. You dont even have to work at it to keep it like that.

Getting rubber in first and second is nothing. Hell my four banger Nissan in the backround of the Camaro pic will get rubber in third The Camaro would get rubber in 1st ,2nd and 3rd and it was a 3 speed auto. The TA would chirp 5th after I put a new clutch in it Actually had to sell my first AR to buy that damn clutch and I sold the car less than a month later. After I broke the rear end gears the third time in a year I had it with the car.

The clutch chattered in my TA too. Thats because it was an iron clutch Man that thing would grab hard when it got hot.
