While watching a Bill Nye reads mean tweets video Bill asks a person if he thought that paint would dry faster at the top of a wall or at the bottom of the wall.
So what says ye, does it dry from the top first or from the bottom? Video Here (Someone Please Embed) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mm4Rwyi-k08 |

Let's go with 2 scenarios, both assuming that paint is applied at the exact same time to the whole wall (Imagine either a giant paint roller or a giant paint sprayer. 1) Indoors, 74*F no fans or A/C running 2) Outdoors on a perfectly vertical wall facing east applied at 8 AM with the air temperature at 74* (taken at 8 AM) and with no breeze. |

So the wall being vertical, would naturally have higher temperatures at the top than the bottom. Right? |

It's all relative. . .right?
The top of the wall is moving faster than the bottom of the wall, therefore the passage of time is different, therefore (from the perspective of the bottom of the wall) the top dries faster. ETA: Or is it slower. . .I still don't understand relativity. Thankfully, I'm in good company. . .since there aren't but a handful of people in the world who do understand it well.
