Airsoft.

If they insist, get them some shotshell ammo (pistol) or birdshot for a shotgun.

Better yet, have a police cruiser standing by.

NOR?

As in Norge?

I didn't know they had guns there.  Let's see.  Norway-Vidkun Quisling, Henrik Ibsen, A-ha, . . . . . nope.  No guns.

TRU-Tracers(TT12108)   12GA   2 3/4", 3 dr., 1oz., 8 shot, (No Warranty Is Made On this Ammo)   10   $5.99

OR

12 guage flame thrower ammunition. This ammunition is manufactured by DTI, which was the first company to come out with the flame thrower ammunition. This is the best 12 guage flame thrower on the market. This 12 Ga. Flame Thrower ammunition produces an enormous wall of fire for 250+ feet. The incendiary metal compound contained inside burns when fired at over 3000 degrees fahrenheit, showering your target in a momentary wall of flame. This ammo will not do any damage to your weapon.

If they are that dumb, tell them to make sure they shoot straight up and try and keep a close eye on it. Then post here for the next Darwin award.

Take him to the local pawn shop and prode him into buying some cheap ass old BLACK POWDER single shot pistol . A tin of caps a can of Black Powder !

Highly recomend that there be a "Keeper of the Powder" (kinda like a desegnated driver)

It can shut the whole nieghboorhood up for a few moments when everybody goes "Holy Kacatowa" what was that !

I've got an old Southbend replicas Cohorn mortor which shoots cement filled V8 jucie cans . AND is /was a GREAT 4 of July noise maker .

About 19 years ago on our 2nd 4 th of July in this house . I was aimming it in the direction of a brand new house kitty corner in my backyard . The projectiles where wads of wet newspaper with a saran wrap seal bettween the wet paper and the powder . In the muzzle loading cannon world wet paper is a trick to increase pressure as it swells ( like a soagy minieball) and makes a HELL of a bang .

Over the course of a 12 pack or so and much expended Black powder . .......... it was morning .

I was admiring my complete domination of the empty dirt yard that was the impact zone . when the sliding glass door opened and a guy peek out and made his way out on to the recently confetied backyard . UUhhht OOHhhh

I started to make small talk when he said they werent "just looking" but had moved in the day B4

" Did YOU HEAR MY CANNON , last night ! " ......"Is that what is was?????? , my wife was under the bed and terriffied"

They didnt last long

South Bend Replicas is run by my Uncle, Paul Barnett..
He makes all kinds of cannons using real Civil War era gun lathes....
Some of the best reproduction Cannons made...
Have been to his shop a few times...

www.southbendreplicas.com/

As for shooting into the sky...go to WallyWorld and buy some 12 gauge flares...

It is just plane stupid to shoot into the air... Mention to your neighbor that he could easily go to jail for hurting somone...

I probably talked to him about 22 years ago then . I was hanging out with some "cannon guys" but the best I could do was the little Southbend mortar .

I've been looking to get back into it but have always been attracted to "Direct Fire guns" .......Which means a new Tube , I could build the navel style carriage ..... unless I could score a rifled piece .........Armstrong , Parrot , ect Then Id be temped to do a replica coastal defense gun .

I told my wife for years now the darn cohorn is just plain worn out

Just tell him to be sure to shoot STRAIGHT UP into the air (as close to vertical as he can).

Then there's no real significant risk, to himself or anyone else.
