Moniker is the one I use for registration.
I say you should ALWAYS have your registration seperate from your hosting company. Always.

Try hostcaters.com   higerst rated customer service I've ever seen. I'm actually impressed with the service @ hostcaters.

Just got one at doteasy.com. Don't know if it's the best, but I got tired of searching through the thousands of places that offer them.

+1 for screwing godaddy. They will take down your site if anyone complains about it even if its not even a valid complaint.

+1 for Moniker. I use them too. I moved to Moniker after godaddy took down sites because myspace complained or a domain that had LEGAL porn that godaddy decided they didn't like.

if you're trying to do a commmercial site, I like hostcaters.com

You can prolly go the cheapie route if you just want a rando/personal type site...
host caters prolly $11.ish a month, and the budget hosting from other companies- 5-8 a month.

may sure you check out
