CMP has a pretty good price on US milsurp M2 ball.

Anybody know how accurate G.I. stuff is compared to the Australian (I think that's what it's called). Thanks.

Danish is all gone now. There is some new manufacture Port on the market now. It is true M2spec, and about the same price as the CMP stuff (and that is 30 year old machinegun ammo). The good thing about the new port is you don't have a $240 minimum order. |

my local dealer still has a little danish left...think i'll but it while it's still there.
sadly $240 of 30-06 isn't very much, these days. i've been tempted to try the wolf ammunition, if they made -06. www.ammunitionstore.com/ |

Keep your eyes open at the Gun Shows. I got 500 rds. of Barnual at the Show at Knob Creek last
week for 70$. I should have gotten 1K, but I didn't feel like toting it 1/2 to 3/4 mile back to the car. I think it's a fairly new product and I'm sure it will be at the local shows.

barnaul makes 06? cool. i'll have to try some. i keep hearing wolf is going to market 06, but i haven't seen it yet. |

Barnaul makes .30-06, but from talking to several guys over at battlerifles.com (I don't know the site well so take it for what it's worth). The Barnaul is loaded a little too hot for a Garand, and the Wolf has been hard to find, and when guys did find it, it was a little bit iffy. I know Silver Bear has started producing .30-06, but I have been unable to locate any to give it a try. Frankly I'm pretty happy running the KA-M2 ball. I have yet to have a problem with it. I just avoid the KM. |

Thanks for the link. At 27 cents a round right now, your best bet looks to be KA Korean running 17-18 cents a round or CMP Lake City (If yer scared to shoot korean) at around 20 cents a round. Thanks for the link though. Oh BTW Silver Bear isn't a Wolf subsidary. Silver Bear is what we used to call Uly. |
