Although I thought it sounded nasty at first, this is a good one:

Beer Margaritas

1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
1/4 cup coarse salt
2 (12 oz) bottles of Corona, chilled
½ cup frozen concentrate limeade, thawed
½ cup tequila
Ice Cubes

Rub lime on the rim of the glass & dip in salt if desired. Get a pitcher, combine beer, limeade and tequila. Fill glasses with ice, then with margarita mixture, throw a lime if you want to. Serve immediately and drink up. Enjoy.

Haven't tried it yet, but this looks yummy:

Beer in a margarita

3 parts crushed ice
3 parts lime juice
1 part tequila
1/2 part triple sec

use a lime wedge to wet the rim of the glass - run this into kosher salt to coat the outside rim of the glass.

6 oz tequlia- Jose Cuervo Especial
3 oz Triple Sec ( not sure of brand)
1/2 can frozen lemon aid
Ice/ 2 oz water
Blend and drink-- got one now!!

I use 1/3 casadores, 1/3 margarita mix. a 1/3 7-up or squirt and top it off with a splash of OJ or orange liquer. Use good tequila you can drink patron or casadores all night long and feel great the next day.

Jim Beam® Kentucky Margarita

* 1 part JIM BEAM® Bourbon
* Splash of triple sec
* Splash of sweet & sour mix
* Lime wedge
* Salt (optional)

Blend ingredients together and shake well. Pour over ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

1/3 Herradura tequilia
1/3 Contreau
1/3 minute made lime juice

on top of all that add ice and a little bit of your favorite margurita mix so its not overly limey

I make it in 2 gallon batches and have never had leftovers

That would be like trying the cheapest 5 year scotch and saying scotch tastes like shit.

if you ever try this (chilled a slice of lime but don't shoot it - sip it) you could then comment.

I have so many Margarita recipes dancing around in my head...it's hard to concentrate on any one in particular.

But any Margarita that I'm making is going to have a splash of some liquer in it, to take the edge off.

Like Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Triple Sec, etc.

A shot of Galliano is also in order.

World's Greataest Margarita Recipe

1-1/2 cups good tequila
1/2 cup Grand Marnier
1/3 bottle beer (bland american beer like Bud, Coors, Millers)
1 can frozen lemonade
A big long squirt of Real Lime
Water/ice to fill up the blender
Suger to taste (optional)

Blend and enjoy!

Classic Margarita

1 oz Sauza Hornitos Tequila
1 oz Rose's Lime Juice
1 oz Cointreau

Rim a margarita glass with sea salt and fill with ice. Combine ingredients in a shaker half filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into margarita glass and garnish with lime.

when i started at trudy's in austin, they had been voted "best rita" in the chronicle for 8 years running. the problem was that, as there was no standard, each bartender at each location made their rita with a slightly different recipe. i standardized my recipe for all locations, and in addition to winning again, it was noted that the ritas had improved across the board.

1 1/4 oz tequila
1/4 oz grand marnier
1/4 oz cointreau
3/4 oz rose's lime juice
1 oz sweet and sour
splash of sweet OJ

while i will not violate NDA by giving the exact type of sweet/sour, i will say that it is best to use the powdered form, which includes only lemon, sugar, and egg whites.

and for my money, the best rita tequila is sauza hornitos.

A jug of chilled 321...

3 parts Rose's lime juice
2 parts your favorite tequila
1 part triple sec

Drop in all the crushed ice your blender will hold. Adjust the total quantity of the 321 mix to suite your personal "slush factor". Lime the rim and douse in margarita salt as appropriate. For me, the key is Rose's brand lime juice.

Wow that seems like a lot of lime juice...

Not really. Try it once Gator. I bet you'll like it. Remember to use Rose's though.
