kinda looks like it takes AR mags.
Hopefully they won't be too pricey. I like it. |
I like it. It doesn't look like the CX4 or whatever the hell that fish shaped gun is called. It might be on my to buy list if it's not too pricey.

DAMN!
I really like the looks of that. I has a decidely HK look to it. |
lol, military show in paris?
Thats like a skydiving show held in a submarine. |
looks like a metal reciever, collapsable stock, takes ar mags.
looks like the rear sight was some kind of after thought. unless it is significantly cheaper than an AR15 i'll pass. |
Looks pretty ugly. It also looks like the stock and the pistol grips were afterthoughts.
I can picture it now. Beretta Engineering office "Hey Louigy, I think we forgot something, can't quite put my finger on it though." "Yeah Alberto, we forgot lunch, see ya in a few hours." "No thats not it, Oh Shit, we forgot the stock" "Easy fix, we will just take one off our shotgun and then sent it to the French. Its not like they would use it any way." |
Interesting.
But I'd rather be able to put my hands on it before passing judgement. I'm surethere'll be more info to come if it hangs around. |
I like my Storm. If that thing takes AR mags I'll bite. Thanks for posting the pic. Interesting.
Instead of basing my judgement on looks alone, I'll wait until there is more info about how it operates (probably piston), accuracy, ergonomics, reliability, and cost before I decide whether I love or hate it.
It looks like they borrowed the receiver design from a shotgun... the bolt looks like a shotgun bolt as well. It probably uses a similar system to cycle the action. Who knows, it may be the best thing to come along since the picattiny rail. |
That is a modified shotgun receiver. Wonder if it works off of inertial recoil. I'll have to look at one if they ever make it here.

+223 |
I was thinking the same thing |
whoops, should've read thread! |

If it says Beretta I'll buy it. (I'm close to owning their entire product line)
I wonder what kind of gas system it uses? does it have the AR15 style rotary locking bolt?
Well, it better have more METAL parts than the CX4.
I broke my plastic mag release in 2 weeks and when I took it apart was VERY dissapointed in how flimsy it was. |
wanna bet the difference between RX and CX is "restricted" and "civilian"?
Looks like the bastard son of a Cx4 Storm and that .223 pump carbine from Remington
I kinda Like it |
Looks to me like the stock is adjustable.....or removable.
ETA hey, do you think we will see it at the SHOT show? |
I like how the bolt release and mag release are blended in to the reciever.
Wouldn't it be c for carbine and r for rifle? I don't get the excitment over new .223's. This gun offers nothing that I can see. It's not smaller, i doubt it will be lighter or more accurate. It doesn't hit harder, so what's the big deal. Just another bastard weapon that you can't get parts for or can't modify. |
You guys LIKE that? Hey, ugly girls need love too. Looks only - a Hi-Point looks better.
Well, it has slightly more visual appeal than a Hi-Point carbine.
I wonder if it's possible to fit a standard shotgun stock to it and have it be legal here in banville.
It looks like somebody had to convert a beretta semi auto shotgun with pistol grip into a .223 carbine(and I like the Storm carbine)..this is an odd duck and yes it IS the shotgun receiver that turns me off cold.
Needs a rail for optics.
I wonder if it will be reversible for right or left hand use like the CX4. |
for the life of e i cant uderstand people, although it may look a little diffrent, it least its a new assualt rifle,
how many years was the market stagnet? we should be embracing any new weapon that comes to market because after hitlery comes to office and we lose the both house of congress, another creative ban will come about that will make it difficult to bring new products to market with this new entry to the market ,if it makes it, that makes at least 5 decent assualt rifles possibly making it to market in the next year or so AUG A3 FN p90, fs2000, SCAR/ARM this new berreta support them while we can becasue you never know what BS legislation may be passed by the GOV Hey i love the AR and FALs and others but they are have been around for a long time, its time to add some new stuff to the collection |
Looks are about 22nd on my list of important features a gun must have. I, unlike half this forum, don't go to the range to impress other guys. I'm hetero.
Anyway, the concept looks promising, and Beretta's pretty good at R&D, I imagine it'll run like a top. Count me interested. |
well said |
Thats what I was thinking |
SO I guess lefties get to come damn near getting whacked on the nose with the charging handle?
The rifle is okay but they need to fix the fucking stock.
