So I am looking at this universal bench with incline and decline, etc for a power rack, but I also want one that can handle more weight and be able to do leg curls with.

Any suggestion?

Cheap one I found but does not do leg curls.

I generally see them in road cases, not on benches.

Do you do bench presses with a barbell?  If so, wouldn't one with a rack be better?

You will see better result with dumbbells, just get a bench with out the rack, buy a set or two to start out with, like ones that you can barely do 8 reps with. Once you get to doing 12 reps, buy your new set that is heavier, than you progressively have a nice set up, and your stabilizing muscles with be much more developed and your form should be excellent,

Just my 2 cents

ETA: mis read, try a different route for the leg curls, maybe straight leg dead lift with a bar or the dumbbells

1.  I've never seen a non dedicated leg curl machine that was effective.
2.  Leg curls are for girls
3.  Be careful about the height many F/I/D benches are too high and therefore unstable.

Play It Again Sports are all over SoCal and they have great deals on benches and weights. I ditched using bars and only use dumbbells now. I got a nice rack of dumbbells from them and a simple incline/decline bench for a great deal.

This is what I have. get yourself a good bench for it that will do incline/decline and 90 degrees upright, then a good set of Olympic weights and you're GTG. If you have the cash, spring for the 90lb powerblock dumbbells and then you've got a great home gym. I also got the Pulldown/Row station for mine as well.

Absolutely horrible advice if you want to get strong. Get a barbell, plates, power rack, bench and starting strength. Read ss. Do ss.

Get something like this.
Squats, deadlifts, bench.

Your new bread and butter.

Also, don't cheap out on a bar and plates.

My wife and I have this rack:

http://www.muscledriverusa.com/Pendlay-Power-Rack_p_2459.html

and this bench:

http://www.muscledriverusa.com/Pendlay-Elite-Flat-Bench_p_884.html

Made in the USA, super sturdy. We can do bench, squats, presses, pullups using the rack, and deadlifts in front of it.

I never knew that.  I figured that the part was on there, so use it.  But looking back, I have not seen the results other than some added strength.
Out of pure ignorance.  Thanks.

Off to work on better and more focused squats.

Pretty much this.  Decline is almost useless to me.  I bought a bench that does incline and is 17.5" in height, which is what you want.  To be honest, I haven't used the incline at all either.  Also, look for a fairly wide and flat pad, not the rounded type.

Get a squat rack/cage.  Don't waste time with leg curls.  Get the bar and plates.  Do bench, squats, deadlift and overhead press.  Do Starting Strength and then 5-3-1.

I got a Hoist HF-4165 incline / flat / decline bench 3 or 4 years ago that I am pretty happy with.

I bought the removable preacher curl and the leg ext. / leg curl attachment.

My wife and I use it at least 4 times a week, it has held up well.

We already had the bar, a pair of 45 and 35 plates, the 8, 12, and 16kg kettlebells, and the pair of 15 pound dumbbells.

We ordered the rack, the bench, the 45 pound bumper plates, the 20 and 28kg kettlebells, and a few pairs of smaller weight plates from Muscle Driver and it came to around 1300 with shipping.

The mats are horse stall mats we got from the local tack and feed store for about 45 bucks each.

And the resistance bands were about 30 bucks

The equipment we already had was probably around 3-400

So I guess the whole setup ended up a little under 2000, if we had bought everything all at once.

Not bad and what is the name of your mat?

A power rack, and a little roll-in bench is all you really need.

This will allow you to benchpress, deadlift, squat, and throw in other assistance workouts also.

Don't do leg curls.  SQUAT.
