ill toss mine in a foil pan, dump the sour kraut on top and then pour in a beer, cover with foil then stick on the grill for a few hours. Bets brats ever

I always brown mine and then add to the kraut. Probably not the correct way but damn they're good.

Johnsonville brats are surprisingly good for mass produced sausage. I cook mine in a bath made of beer and kraut at a gentle simmer.

Always grill first... Low and slow...  "The Charlie Murphy Way".  That dark brown hue is what you seek.

Klements brats are very good as well.

But Johnsonville is the "quintessential" brat.

I like mine in beer and onions AFTER the grill, then on a good brat bun with bit of raw chop raw white onion and brown or stone ground mustard.

Enjoy your summer grillin'!

Wife cooks them in the slow cooker. Beer brats are the best food.
