I'm looking for a pair or two pairs of 18650 batteries for a dual battery box build and I am noticing on eBay the efest batteries have a 2000mah and 2500mah is there a difference or are any ok for my setup?

Amp ratings are more important, if your box is going to be unregulated.

Other than that, go with the highest mah you can find, that also has a sufficient amp limit for whatever ohm coils you usually run.

Best to use an 18650 that uses Panasonic or Sanyo as the base cell.
You can get them protected or unprotected, button top or flat top.
Check out batteryjunctions web site.

Flat tops fit bettwr in the battery holders.  If you are still planning on running the kayfun or a tank build like we talked about  more mah is more better.  You wont likely draw your amp limit on any tank system.

All flat top I think 3 is the strongest but whichever would be best for my build

I have a pair i use for box mods when i am running tanks.

OP just remember, the wrapper says 35a but that is the burst rating. 20a is the continious rating of those cells.
So if you use them in other devices, just be mindful of your builds.

in a dual build the amps are split between the 2 cells so resistance is less of a concern.

True.

He'll have 40a to work with. As long as the build isn't below .105ohms he's gtg.

.21 on a single cell
.105 on dual cells (wired parallel of course)

Either of those will be pushing the battery or batteries right to the redline.
