I did not consume all of the bacon I cooked this weekend - but started with almost 7 lbs, have about 2 left over. Got a bits and pieces pack that made bacon and hashbrowns and bacon. Made up 2 packages of cream cheese and little smoky stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeno. About another pound of the bits and pieces went into bacon and beans. Oh, and just for one last bit of pork goodness, smoked a can of spam (with a Tabasco glaze) with the jalapenos. Meanwhile my wife made breakfast sausage cheese balls (another lb of pork in that).
I think the little smokies, breakfast sausage and span should add partial bacon points (just about as high in pork, fat, and sodium). |
