Colt AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine. Very few were Pre-Ban.

Any Colt rifle marked "AR-15" on the receiver.  Anything with flash hider and bayo lug.  Endless discussions of "based on the serial number, is my lower was completely assembled as a rifle prior to the ban?"

I'm serious

any gun to commit a crime with.  during the AWB it was impossible for a decent criminal to get equipped to do anything!

Believe it or not, I'd agree.

FNCs where, and still are, very desired.

Fuck, I'd chop off my left or right testicle with a rusty spoon for one.

Underfolder AKs, maybe?

Mainly because more FNC autosears were registered than semiauto FNCs produced, they're relatively cheap compared to the other 5.56 MGs.

AK-47 underfolder and 'high cap' Glock mags (I know it wasn't a firearm but I wouldn't buy a G19/G17 until after the ban ended.)

Just celebrate the fact that you can buy some god stuff now by going out and buying an EBR!

Economically I'd have to agree with this.  Glock mags have gone from $100 down to $15.  Wow.

H&K hi-cap pistol magazines were very highly sought after. Some are still quite expensive.

Torwards the end, Ruger 10-22 hi-cap magazines were going for higher prices than the guns themselves.

These went from being available in every store for like 7-8 bucks per 30 rnd mag to almost $150 in less than 6 years!!!

Though they aren't guns, I remember pre-ban Beta-C magazines selling for ~$800. Now you can get them for around $230 (still too rich for my blood though ).

9mm Colt AR15's were HUGE.  I remember one selling for $4500 compared to the $2200 Colt AR15 223.

Those Sig 55whatevers were about the most expensive semi-automatic riflesthat I saw, except for the HK psg whatever the number is. I guess with the Bush Import Ban those guns are still expensive. You do keephearing about Sig supposedly selling those rifles in the US eventually

Dude, have you been living under a rock?

Sig released a new "556" rifle that uses the same operating system as the 551/552 rifles at SHOT this year.  It is going to be released in a civilian version somtime soon.

I got one about a year before the end of the ban and SBR'd it and installed a UMP barrel. About a year later I sold it for $1100 and got a USP Tactical. Now the dealer I sold it to is selling it for $4000, I feel like an idiot right now.

I can hook you up with a class III dealer who has a small number of FNC's going for less than $9,000 apiece.

What amazes me is that the bulgarian waffle mags for 7.62 AK's got <$10, and are now back up to $18, TWO YEARS after the sunset.  $18 is as high as I ever paid for them during the ban, most of the ones I got were $11-$15.  I'd say the biggest price drops have come from Glock and 10/22 magazines, and M4gery's/AR pistols.  Get em while you can boys, two more years til Hillary sends us back into hell.

The biggest markup was in stripped lower recievers.  A $130 Bushy or Colt rec. was worth $700-$900

Will add more when I think of them.
