So my wife is having bad back pain at night. It usually starts as she is laying down within the first 15 minutes. The obvious answer would be the mattress, however she does not have the same problem when she lays down to take a nap in the afternoon when our son goes down. That makes me think maybe it is not the mattress, since its only at night and not any time she lays down. So anyone got any ideas? What would make her back hurt at night when she lays down, but not any other time? Any ideas are welcome... |

Quoted: have her try a pillow under her knees. If she's a side sleeper have her put one between her legs. See if that helps. This is what I do. I hurt my back at work years ago, and the PT had me sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs. Anytime my back even twinges, I start doing that again. Really helps. |
| I have been accustom to some degree of back pain for years, UP until February of this year. I started working out, stretching my hamstrings and back every day, and I'm a new man. I also invested in a TempurPedic mattress (tempur cloud luxe) which has worked wonders. 4 of the guys I work with swear by these mattresses, and now I'm an unofficial salesman. You'll get sticker shock though. |

Quoted: Thats not a problem, we're pretty regular about that. Wife speak for no sex. Her back is fine. Alright, seems like the pillow thing has gotten alot of supporters, I'll suggest that to her. I know she did that when she was pregnant with our son, but she might need to try it again. Would flipping the mattress or getting a new one help maybe? |
