Check it out...

I'm not listing this auction link here in an effort to sell the car through the forums, I'm only listing it because I feel it may be of interest to some of my fellow car guys...

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6236&item=2493900772&rd=1

Last time I listed the car, it only got up to $150k...

$100,000 and reserve not met?

The reserve is $250k...

Last time I listed the car, several $200k offers were turned down...

$250k will buy it...

After seeing a '70 Chevelle bid up over $350k on ebay, I'm convinced anything is possible...

I'd have to agree...a Mustang of that calibre with less than 5,000 miles? You can name your price. Someone will take you up on it!!

A/C in a racecar?

I thought the Boss was made/intended for circle track?

Nope Boss 429 was designed for the straight line.
Where the hell did you find this badboy??

Two weeks ago we had it listed and got a ton of very interesting emails...

One email was from a BOSS 429 owner that had car number KK2096...   His car left the assembly line right in front of the one we listed on ebay...(KK2097)

Imagine what kind of money the two of them would be worth if sold as a pair !!!

The motor was intended for Nascar in Torino and Cyclone hybrids.  It was sold in the Mustang to meet Nascar requirements for sales to general public.  The Mustang was a pig in the 1/4 and could easily be beat by a 428CJ with both in stock trim.

The Boss 429 engine was made for NASCAR, it has hemispherical combustion chambers, but it was not raced in the Mustang, they were run in Torino Talledaga's which were produced with modified bodies to meed the rules, and 428 Cobra Jet engine.  The engines also had to be produced in certain numbers, but the rules did not specify that the car and engine had to be together, so the Ford put the engine in the Mustang.
