I went to Gillette Wyoming yesterday and bought my first Deuce! Picked up a 1994 M35a3 with only 4800 miles for a very good price. It also came with a M105a3 trailer. The recovery went great and it ran excellent on the 260 mile journey home. I kept my speed at 45 MPH and the rpms at 2300 to 2500. It was a long ride home at only 45 but it was a blast driving it. It's been awhile since i drove a truck this big. It took a little getting used to the way it handled. I purchased it from a guy in Great Falls MT off of Craigslist. He was even cool enough to drive it from Great Falls to Gillette. I paid him for his fuel expense to get it there. The truck does have a few quirks but eventually I will get around to fixing them.

Sounds like a good deal. I think it would be cool to own one.

To bob or not to bob, that is the question.
Damn, I'm old. When did they get automatic transmission? |
|
|
They forgot the clutch pedal. How are you going to double clutch without one?

Where's the manual cut-off?
On the A2, it's a T-shaped handle to the left of the master power switch. Pull out to cut off. I see the hole in the dash, but..... Also, an automatic transmission? What is this world coming to? |

You realize that 4500 military miles are like 100k civilian miles right? Looks good though.

It's all good until you have to change a tire on that baby by yourself |

I'm jealous as fuck.
Now you need to get some tactical as fuck cupholders (I actually just got some of these for my CUCV and they are pretty awesome.) |
|
Congratulations OP.
I'll be getting a M925A2 5-ton real soon. |
|
Is it still emergency brake on the left? I effed that up once and left it on, pushed down on the thing on the right (transfer case?). By the time someone got my attention there was about a 1/4 mile long white cloud behind me, and not much emergency brake left. Good times.

Nice truck. I miss my M109A3. Someday I will get another. Have fun.

I so totally hate the OP.
I however don't know what I would do with it beside burn too much fuel and blow the budget. Maybe find a flat bill on backwards brow dozer clown and ask if he wants to have a pull off. I'm trying to remember which form has a huge thread on customizing these. Big Tires, bobbed third axel with the trailer used for the bed and a few made into extended cab. Here is a link for big tires and junk. http://www.100dollarman.com/tires.html. And the dude is selling $20 used MOLLE packs. |
