Considering our Special Forces are learning to ride horses and pack mules, I thought a little quiz was in order.
1) What year was the last  US Army horse calvary unit disbanded?
2) What year was the last charge of US Calvary?

Taking a WAG, I would say the last cavalry charge occured in the Phillipines, 1941.

Horse units, 1943?

It has been said before that both the Germans and the Russkies used cavalry to good effect during ww2.
