I'm not much of a thread starter but i want to know what the work trucks of arfcommers look like. Post a pic of your work truck if you like or you can just give the year and model of your work truck.

This is what i use for my work truck and it is also my first vehicle that i got when i was 16 and it has been in my family since 84. It has been through several bad wrecks but it looks alright after all these years. It's a 1984 F150 with a 302, the only thing i don't like is that it's not four wheel drive.

I'm tagging this because i'm looking for an option other than GM. I wanted an Isuzu NPR, but i'm not buying parts and service from government motors.

Looks like I'll have to get a picture of my work truck when I go to work again.

ETA Not mine, but a representative of what I drive at work.

Since I took the above pic, I have added a grill guard, removed the tonneau cover, and added a shell.  I just added the shell last week, so no pics as of it yet.  But here's the grill guard:

I do field service work, and put 40-50,000 miles a year on a company vehicle. I used to drive a 96 GMC 1500 extended cab pickup (5.7l Vortec), but the office got tired of fixing things on it & retired it at just over 345,000 miles. Now I've got a 2002 Dodge Caravan (2.4l I4). Damn I miss that truck...

It sucks every time I have to get up to speed to get on the Interstate. The only saving grace is the improved fuel economy helps a little on the P&L's. But damn, I do miss the truck...

Unrelated - here's my Truck (it used to be a daily driver...)

I believe Z71 includes a A/T tire from the factory, skid plates, heavy duty air cleaner, and heavier shocks.

Nice ride....what type of fuel economy do you get?

20-21 mph on the highway, it varies in the city.

Here is my 99 F150 5.4 v8 230k miles. Just put a fresh coat of wax on her.

Did my first heater core change on it over the weekend. I hope I never have to do that again! Ford must hang the heater core then build everything else around it.

Nice!

I've got a white '04. I only get 17 MPG though, balanced between city & highway driving.

I'll post a pic in a few days when I get a computer that doesn't suck.
