mublock origin. right click, block element. It can either show up as a white box or collapsed space. You can use Greasemonkey to block users but I'm too lazy to get it to work.

Good idea. People can think it's cunty or whatever, don't care. If I've gotten to the point where someone posts enough drivel to ignore, then their opinion or input means literally nothing. I don't see the need for ignoring people over a difference of opinion, but there are a few which are simply a waste of oxygen even having to scroll through.

The current tool isn't worth much for actually blocking.
