My Dad and kid brother went and saw Narnia, and my Dad recommended that I wait for the DVD. I have no interest in seeing yet another version of King Kong, or anything else coming out anytime soon.

The only thing that I am looking forward to is The Hobbit, which Peter Jackson promised to make, but probably hasn't even started planning for yet.

Anything any of you are looking forward to seeing?

I've pretty much had it with going to the movies, I'd like to see Narnia but I'll wait for home viewing, I'm not giving Hollywood anymore of my money.

Yes.  I am looking forward to that new movie.  I read on the internet that sometime in the next 6 months to 178 years, someone would make a new movie.

"Munich," from the George Jonas book Vengeance.  This was already done fairly well as a HBO movie entitled "Sword of Gideon."

NOTE:  The book was great.

Possibly "Syriana."

Inglorious Bastards by Quentin Tarantino. He has been writing it for a couple years, but it sounds like him and his buddy Rodriguez are going to make a horror movie together, then he will start production.

Is that the one where Michael Myers and Jason give up their killing ways to become gay, pudding-eating cowboys up in Wyoming?

Let's see:

Option 1: Pay for the privledge of sitting with a room full of loud idiots and be forced to watch goddamned commericals.

Option 2: Enjoy a movie on my 52" home theater system. Play with M4-gery at appropriate moments during movie. No commercials, nobody talking on their cellphone during the movie, and the popcorn doesn't cost more than the movie.

Movie theaters are killing themselves. Back in the day, a home theater system was well above the means of all but the richest folks. But now? For a 2 grand or so, you can put together an awesome HTS, and buying a DVD costs about the same as a ticket+popcorn+drink at a theater. To hell with theaters.

I want to see Narnia (big Lewis fan), but in all honesty I probably won't see it until the DVD comes out.  We just don't goto the movies much anymore with a 2-year-old (for fellow patrons as much as for us ).

I saw a brief teaser-trailer for MI:III the other night and it looked good (flame-suit on for all of the Cruise-haters out there).

Now that FX are up to the task,  wish they would do a Silver Surfer movie.  I've seen rumors for years but nothing concrete...

I saw King Kong last nite..I thought it was good...its kind of 'chicky' with the whole blonde and Gorilla love thing going on but there were some great fight scenes in it.

Want to see King Kong. Narnia was good - but not enough fight scenes in the final battle.

Other that that, I do not go to the moives anymore unless it is a "BIG PICTURE" Movie.
