Hey if an ar was sitting on a soft couch and a 180 pound moron sat on it could that break the rifle? one wouldnt think so if they can hold up to a war.

There a handguard advertisement or test I've seen where I an AR is spanned across two blocks of wood and a guy stands on it.  

I'm sure it'll shoot a little to the right or left afterwards.

Damn i was just curious. i put it under the blanket on the couch cuz i left the house for a minute came back and sat down to complete the work i started. sat on the rifle and immediatly got up. no visual damage. i feel dumb.

Daniel defense threw one of their rifles out of a helicopter and it still worked.





I'm sure your rifle is fine.





If by AR15 you actually mean the  Mattel Marauder, then you may be fucked.



ETA: They threw it out of a helicopter AFTER they put it next to a tannerite target that they shot.

Im 26. i was just asking a question. out of all the responses i got not one strait answer. i was an ak guy and flipped the script to the ar. i dont know how durable these things are or how much "sitting" abuse they can handle. I know an ak can handle its fair share. Just wasnt sure sheesh! And its a Sig Sauer m400 swat

dude I have over 60 military jumps most with an m-16 strapped to me I have seen rifles burn in and only a stock broke, I landed on one on a desert floor helmet first.. the hand guard broke. they can Handel it.
