I was a sophmore in college when AFD came out. My band had this storage space that we used for rehearsals. The drummer had bought the album (actual vinyl record) and somehow it ended-up on the floor of this place. Laid there in the sleeve for months. Never got taken out and played. Had rehearsals and parties in there. So one day, we decided to pick it up off the floor. It was covered in muddy foot prints and other crap. I remember putting it on the turn table and thinking "wow, this is fresh". I'm not the biggest G&R fan, but it was different. In a time when slick, hair metal was everywhere, it was nice and gritty and raw. Remember liking Sweet Child O Mine a lot. And then the next year the album took off and I must've seen/heard that song on the radio and MTV a million times. Got sick of it. But like it again now. Definitely good stuff...
