not "random" asskickers, but asskickers nonetheless, who always share their bounty with the others serving with them:
Ranstad's Militia thread several groups of asskickers are listed on the front page and would love to receive anything you can send.

Whats the story with Ranstad's Militia anyways, what is it? Nick name for a unit or just a club? I've never felt like reading the 20 page treads and 3 page posts before. |

I've never felt like reading the 20 page treads and 3 page posts before. in a nutshell, two of our members (RetMAC and GR8TWYT) used to serve together in the Navy during Desert Storm, and they reconnected via a Navy website... well, one of them has a son (Nick Ranstad) who was serving in the sand box, so GR8TWYT got some folks together who sent over care packages to his unit for Christmas 2007. his platoon was floored at the number of boxes he received (over 250!), and dubbed those who sent them "Ranstad's Militia." if they needed something, Nick asked, and we sent it. from jerky to baby wipes to bore snakes to PDAs with EXBAL ballistic programs to helmet cams to sattelite minutes so they could call home... we support our troops. Nick is back stateside now (after getting back to Germany just in time to see his baby girl born), but there are still plenty of troops who need our support. a care package, a note of encouragement, a prayer... anything. send a box, buy a raffle ticket, add funds to the general fund (member RetMAC is POC for that), and you're a member. you don't have to read all the posts - some of us talk kindof a lot.
