What do you vow to do differently, and have you managed to violate any of them yet?

For me:

1) Manage my money better. I started saving money heavily this year but am not watching how much I waste on toys. Gotta be more proactive about that.
2) Finish preparing my emergency stash. Got a good BOB, good stash of food, but no stored water, or medical stuffs.
3) Finish the projects I started this last year
4) Get my HAM license

- save more, already upped my 401K contribution percentage

- pay off CC debt

- sell off useless stuff I don't need

- hoard more hicap pistol and rifle mags

- clean my guns more often

- excercise more

- use up my reloading components till they run dry and refresh with new stock (powder, primers, etc)

- hoard Wolf ammo if it ever becomes cheap again

- related, shoot up non Wolf factory ammo and put the brass into my reloading stream

I'm hoping to drink more beer and to gain at least 10 pounds this year.

I've learned to find goals I can attain.

    No.

I plan to be less stingy with my money.  If I need something (as long as its reasonable), I'll buy it.  Example.  My room has a cold tile floor that gets very dirty.  I wanted to get a piece of carpet for it but I declined...now...I'm going to buy that piece of carpet.

I resolve NOT to make "resolutions" at the beginning of a new year.

If there is something I need to work on to better myself, most likely it is WELL underway.

the last resolution that I made that I have kept to this day....I think was 99 or 2000, was to not make anymore resolutions.  And I haven't. They are usually things you KNOW you won't do, or be able to keep. So there is no sense in making them.  They are for blowing smoke up your own ass.

And, If I ever maike another resolution... I'll be proving myself right.
