I went to a local store (Army Navy) which I used to know as an over price store with a poor selection. Lately they really started to impress me, back around Thanksgiving they had a ton of Colt AR's and lots of 1911's and they had prices that were inline with online, and actually cheaper.

Well I went yesterday just to see how bare the store would be. All they had was shotguns, bolt rifles, handguns, and a pallet of ammo. And it was reasonably priced too! Came out to the same price as online if I would pay shipping.

So I split a case with my dad....

I've bought an 870 Tactical and a PTR-91 in the last two weeks from my favorite LGS, Both prices are what I would have expected to pay before the panic.

There's nothing left to buy honestly.

Sure you can find a pump action shotgun or maybe a semi-auto.  There was one Saiga 410 on the wall, was just put up, and it walked out within 15 minutes.  Nice Norinco M1 for $750 which I could get cheaper (friend of the shop owner), but the last thing I need to do is add another caliber to my collection.

20rd PMAGs are $35.  Sold out as the counter dude opened the box and distributed them.

I bought a bunch of pistol ammo for cheap.  Otherwise, there just wasnt anything to buy.

Local store had one Predator Custom AR for $1750. Everything else was. 22s and shotguns. They had one nice 30-40 Krag, but it was overpriced at $900.
Lots of pistols at slightly higher than normal prices.

Any time you buy a DPMS rifle, it's NOT a good deal, by definition!

KIDDING!!!! (mostly)

my local shops have never had any good deals(unless you like paying MSRP or higher) so I don't even go in them anymore.

Anyone still finding deals at their LGS?

I never found deals there before the panic started.

All LGS here are wiped out of all scary looking rifles.  Only found 3 really beat to death Chinese SKS's left at one store that otherwise had over 80 AR's, AK's, M1A's etc... a few weeks ago.

Handguns are still in reasonable supply.  NFA stuff was still on the shelves, but that's obviously due to the prices.

There's a gunshow in Alexandria, LA this weekend.

Also a couple gunstores there.  Might go for shits and giggles to see how bad the prices are.

Reasonable is such a subuective thing.

Went to the store esterday and they had gotten in a bunch of AR's. They had new Windhams, Deltons and M&Ps for under $1000.  These would all have been in the $699-$899 range at this shop a coule of weeks ago.  But they are all still less than MSRP I think.  So that's more reasonable than I'm seeing elsewhere I guess.  But their prics on ammo have spiked.  The worst was Federal 22 lr 525 round boxes that were $15.95 2 weeks ago are now $25.95.

Not much of a deal, but they had a Garand "Tanker" at mine for $1100.

They also had a Century Fal for $650.

I wanted the tanker, but got the Fal instead.

Found some dusty FAL mags (L1A1 inch) in the back corner of my LGS. Picked up 3 for $15.00 each. That was a good price for inch mags.

Bought a Dan Wesson .44 Mag revolver yesterday for $700. Not bad for a prime example with an 8" and 4" barrels. Wish I could have picked it up today, but I had to work.

I recently upgraded from my Smith MP15 to a Colt LE6920MP. My LGS charged me $1,249.50 for the colt but gave me $550 in credit for the MP15. I also just purchased a DPMS from Walmart on Friday for $597. It was the sportical model. Wife wanted one after shooting the Colt. Now she is hunting for the pink furniture kit. Wish I would have kept the MP15 if I would have know she liked shooting an AR. The sportical seems solid but not MP15 quality.

Hmm, I'm tempted. These cases of ammo are going for $340+ on gunbroker. If I really wanted to put up with all the bullshit thats about a $100 profit per case after fees.

My LGS is sold out of EBRs except some .22 ARs.  They still have lots of handguns, rifles, shotguns, etc, and no price gouging.  They have DMPS LPKs in stock - can you believe it?  Price is $79.95, same price they had on them a month ago.  Good bunch of folks.
