my co-worker has relatives in Greenville SC and just cancelled their trip to Myrtle Beach due to the fact that they can't find a gas station there with gas to get out of town on. Anyone having similar problems?

I'm in Summerville, approx. 1.5 hrs from MB.

There are scattered reports of stations running out, because of people rushing to top off their tanks.  However, at last report this is the exception.

Of course, there are no guarantees.

Update:

There is gas.  Yesterday a few stations ran out because there was a panic and people started hoarding.  However, word from the governor and local news is that there is gas and the flow of supply should be back to normal within two weeks.

Folks seem to be calming down now.
