Curious if anyone has ever built a walkin cooler for storing Meat/animals etc.  I have seen the kit type at many hunting camps etc but didn't know if there is a better way to make a quality freezer.

Thanks for any ideas.

Number one consideration- Vapor Barrier. Have two. One in and one out.  Build an insulated floor, caulk ALL seams. Achieve at the least an R-30 in walls and ceiling and at least R-24 in floor. Insulation is like beer at a party, the more the merrier.

5 inches + of closed cell sprayfoam will work wonders for you,
