| Watched the Lidell-Couture fight this past weekend. Lidell is a killer, made short work of Couture. Can't wait for the rematch. |
I agree, Randy is the more well-rounded fighter. I'm sure he was planning on taking it to the ground but Lidell cold-cocked him before he could. Those two puinches while Randy was semi-conscious on the mat were vicious. I'm guessing the next fight will be a lot longer than the previous two. Oh, and don't sleep on Rich Franklin, dude is a badass. |
+1. Can't criticize a guy's strategy when the fight lasts 2 minutes. He got caught with a couple of nice shots right on the kisser, if that happens, you're usually going to go down. Anyways, he stood up with Chuck all day during the first fight and won. At that level, anyone can knock anyone else out if the land the right shot. |

I'm obsessed with MMA. I didn't watch the PPV fight between Liddell and Couture but I assume that Chuck won from the previous posts. I'd have to say that if Randy was KO'd, he bought into Chuck's game and didn't work his own strategy. There should be a third fight, furthermore, Couture is definitely a better athelete/fighter than Chuck, especially since he is 43ish. |

I really don't think it was bad strategy. They had only thrown about 5 punches before it happened. I think that Randy was exchanging blows while looking for a good opening to get close like he did in the last fight. Chuck was counterpunching and not giving Randy any opportunities to shoot in. Randy's too smart to shoot from 5 feet away, that's just going to get a knee in the head. Seriously, I think Chuck just got in a good shot. |
