I can't remember what the 1911s looked like that the punisher got from his father after his family was murdered.  Anybody got pics?

You know this forum is for discussing real firearms, right?

So what your trying to tell me is that because I want to see if somebody has made a clone of a movie firearm that said clone is not a "REAL" firearm?

Soooo...if I own a 44 Auto Mag that looks like the one Dirty Harry used in Sudden Impact....it's not REAL????

I thought the pistols that his dad owned were very authentic looking 80's era Match Pistols as I recall....I thought that was a very nice touch, personally.

I haven't seen the movie, but here is the best picture that I found via google.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they where colts and I can't remember if they where all black or black with silver parts? like the above airsoft.  Its a very neat looking gun.  I was thinking about doing something similar with a couple of mil specs.

If you watch this trailer you can hit pause and then go forward and backward to view still pictures.  There are several clear shots of the 1911 and it looks exactly like the one in the other link.

There are a couple different trailers, the one I watched last night had more 1911 exposure than this one.

I wouldn't want a Punisher clone.  Since his dad "reamed" the chambers, the damn things would probably blow up.  Stupidest thing I've heard in a movie in a while.

No way.

1.  Kiefer Sutherland's rifle with the "Carbon 1" modification in Phone Booth
2.  The Mac-10 with "twin carbies and all the trimmings" in Lethal Weapon 3

Tell me more.
I rolled my eyes at the gun comments in Punisher, but I never saw the other two.

I had heard of people reaming chambers in .45 acp pistols to accept some cartridge that was longer than .45 acp but had the same COL........

Maybe I heard wrong?

Were where the colts?

I'm not sure if they actually where colts but wasn't that what his father said when his son picked them up?

What's that even a picture of?

A 4" Colt commander or something, with a threaded barrel and a monster compensator?

A 5" 1911 with some weird refinish job?

I'm not sure how a real 1911 would end up looking that way ever.  Even if one wanted to build a gun that looked exactly like it - I think a sophisticated refinish job might be the way to do it.

Looks to be a barrel weight/compensator of some sort.  Kinda wierd ....

What is the phillips screw in the side of the slide?  It's at the rear, behind the grip serrations.

Uhm - is it just me, or is the chamber NOT exposed when the slide is locked back?

(Is that just a feature of airsoft? - because that sure looks weird)
