I came across this guys website who dyes for $100.00 the grey polymer on HK SL8-1s and USC .45s black.
He uses some kind of process called Thermal Dye sublimation. The pics he has posted look really good. I would like to have him dye my USC, but would like to know more about the process and the quality and durability of the final product.

Does anybody know anything about this process or ones that are like it?

If you're interested, check out his website at http://alpinetek.netfirms.com/guns/USC45/

Thanks

Try asking over on HKPro.com  www.hkpro.com.  I believe he described the process while he was working on it for a while.  Some of the people over there may have had it done by now.

Of course there is also the guy that dyed his with RIT dye and got good results.
