on older vehicles with breaker-point ignition systems. I know there is software for use with
OBD systems. Anything similar for older cars? Experimenting with a couple of different
distributors and it would be nice to know what the advance curve is. Thx!!

Use a dial back timing light and you can check it yourself at specific RPM ranges.

Why are you swapping the whole unit instead of changing springs? You do know you can buy a spring kit that does the same thing right?

Distributor Machine, although no CPU interface.

The last time I've seen one was in the 90's.

You find them at swap meets, from time to time.

Yeah, that's what I really need, but don't have a loose $1000-$1500 to thow at one. Was hoping by this day & age that
somebody had a cheaper solution. Like a transducer unit & software to use on a laptop computer...

Contact the company I listed and talk to them. I bet it doesn't cost a whole bunch, what are you working on?

You can use a timing tape, a timing light and a hand held tach to do it if you don't want to send the dizzy off to the above shop.
