If I were to do that, should I then completely uninstall Microsoft XP Home, and then install the entire three CD set of XP Pro?

Microsoft XP home is the operating system you are using; it has nothing to do with the version of office. Unless I am mistaken, office versions come in standard and professional editions. If you uninstall the current version of office you have on the Presario and install Office XP pro with all options you should be OK.
