[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Another IED

We had a convoy just get hit with an IED today. 3 soldiers injured. These were soldiers returning from R&R. One soldier was just arriving in country. Now he will get a purple heart but not earn the combat patch as he will probably evacuated to Germany.

Man this place sucks.

I haven't heard anything from his unit. I think they are still in Remagen but I don't know for sure.

One guy had schrapnel destroy his elbow. He will loose a lot of the use of that arm and his career is over. Another caught schrapnel in the forhead. He will probably be ok. The third had cuts and abraisions and returned to duty.

The assitant division commander just happen to be flying by and his chopper landed on an overpass and evacuated our guys. Probably saved 30 minutes or so on the evac.
