I am 18 and my relatives are unloading a deceased family members firearms on me, I am going to get them shipped to my FFL.

Some of these firearms are handguns, would I be able to have the handguns transferred to me from the FFL at 18?

DO NOT GO THROUGH A FFL UNLESS THE BAFTE KNOCKS ON YOUR DOOR AT GUN POINT AND MAKES YOU.  long guns; you don't have to do a damn thing, pistols; as far as i know you have to be 21 to buy, not to carry.  call your local state police depot. don't give them all the info. just what they need. tell them what is going on.

***ignore snowmonkey, tin foil responses like that will get you in trouble so follow the letter of the law***

state law varies, so you need to check with VA, but in general it's ok for an 18 yr old to possess a handgun.  I would have your dad do the transfer on the pistols, and either give them to you when your 21 or write a receipt and hand them to you.  You also need to check what VA says about  Private Party transfers, some states require them though a dealer.  It would be good to check the VA hometown section for the above info pertaining to VA.

These are VA gun laws as listed by the Brady Site.  I choose that one only because I can't think
of anything that would be more restrictive.  I will not link it.  If you want to see the entire VA
gun laws as listed by them, it's the first selection on google.

JUVENILE POSSESSION
Are minors restricted from possessing guns?  Partial

State law restricts juveniles under 18 from possessing a handgun or "assault firearm" unless the juvenile: 1) has parental authorization, 2) is accompanied by an adult while at, or going to and from, a shooting range or firearms educational class, 3) is hunting or going to and from a hunting area or preserve, or 4) is in the armed forces. There are no restrictions on juveniles possessing other rifles or shotguns. Many assault weapons are not defined as an "assault firearm" because state law narrowly defines "assault firearm" to include only pistols and rifles that are equipped with an ammunition magazine that can hold more than 20 rounds, are designed to hold a silencer, or are equipped with a folding stock; and to only include shotguns with a magazine that will hold more than seven rounds of the longest ammunition for which it is chambered.

JUVENILE SALE
Is it illegal to sell guns to kids?  Partial

State law prohibits sales of a handgun or "assault firearm" to juveniles only if the seller knows that the buyer is prohibited from possessing these firearms (see Juvenile Possession above). There are no limits under state law on selling or giving children 12 or older rifles or shotguns if they are not "assault firearms." Federal law also prohibits licensed gun dealers from selling handguns to anyone under 21 and selling rifles or shotguns to anyone under 18, and prohibits handgun sales by private sellers to anyone under 18. The term "assault firearm" is narrowly defined to include only pistols and rifles that are equipped with an ammunition magazine than can hold more than 20 rounds, are designed to hold a silencer, or are equipped with a folding stock; and to only include shotguns with a magazine that will hold more than seven rounds of the longest ammunition for which it is chambered.

Packing.org seems to be down.  That would have been my first choice.
