I see posts about folks having various amounts of ammo on hand at all times. My question is this.. When not shooting it how do you store it? I have some ammo but nowhere near what some here keep on hand.

Here's a poll instead..

Same here. Plus a can or two of loaded mags.

Geocached in 6 states. Doubled up PVC pipes, sealed up and buried vertically a minimum of 5 feet below ground.

Over 5 million rounds of .22lr, 9mm, .45 acp, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, .223 and .308 in 100 locations.

It's what I do on vacation. Take out the RV, a shovel, and a bunch of ammo. I buy the pipes and supplies along the way. If I stop at a gun store or walmart and see they have ammo at a good price, I'll buy it all up and bury it along the way.

No, not really.

Mostly ammo cans or just the shipping boxes they came in, but I keep a few mags loaded.

Combination of the above. I have a battle load of mags for each go to rifle (if I had any rifles) ready to go. 1 bandoleer of strippered ammo for each, and a metric buttload more in their original boxes, in waterproof ammo cans with dessicant in them.

I do a combination of all. I have quite a bit on strippers sealed in plastic Vietnam era mag sleeves in bandoleers. It is all in mags, 50 cal cans, or sardine cans. I like to have the cans of bandoleers handy for a super quick BO.

Where's the all of the above option?
