| Good morning all. How many of you have it? And do you like it? Thanks in advance for the replies. |

Didn't we just do this last week? Prime is great. I've probably gotten $80 worth of free shipping in 2 months so it's paid for itself at this point. 10 page thread if I remember right. Something about shipping bunk beds overnight for $4, Subnet buying a Ginsu knife, a guy bought a 700 lb table saw that shipped free.....

I like it, although now that I am stuck in TX and they charge sales tax, I use it less.
Impulse bought a laptop Friday afternoon...paid 8.99 and it was in my hands at 1130 Saturday. Impulse bought a printer a couple weeks ago...free 2 day shipping. When you want to buy something you know will cost a fortune to ship, check Amazon.com. You'll likely get free shipping. |

Have it. Love it. Wish I'd gotten it earlier. I got it for the shipping. The videos are just gravy. Limited selection, but if they have something you want to watch, hey, great. Getting something in 2 days instead of a week and a half is awesome. As is not having to wait for $25 worth of stuff before buying. |

I have it, for the shipping. the video is kinda stupid because the only shit they have that's worth watching isn't free. It's glorified pay per view. Unlike Netflix, where if they don't have it, you cannot watch it. At least you can rent or buy something that they have on digits. |

I have it and like it. I don't watch many videos. It's mostly the 2 day shipping.
A lot of items that ship with prime are a dollar or two more expensive than those w/o. But when you add in shipping prime almost always comes out cheaper. I really like the fact that you can buy one item and get it shipped in two days without paying an extra $5-10. I need a new headlight for my car. Sure I could drive to the auto parts store, look through the book, pick out the right one and then stand in line to pay for it. But it was sitting at my PC thinking about how I need to buy it. It was a lot easier just to order it and be done with it. |

Have it. Love it.
Although just this morning I was a bit disappointed with Amazon. I wanted to get some cotton balls and vaseline to make firestarters so I thought I'd check out Amazon. All the cotton balls and vaseline are at least twice what I can get them for at Walmart. I was hoping to avoid going to the store but I guess I have to. Other than that, Prime has been awesome. |

Yes, you DO need to know a ballpark figure on what things cost. Some items are way over priced. (Garbage bags are for one, but strangely enough, Ziploc bags are not.) I really like getting all the suggestions and alternatives from their ads. It's one of the few sites (aside from Google) that I have ever clicked on an ad. (Sorry Arfcom.) Plus, if there's some oddball retailer somewhere, chances are they have an Amazon account and you get get stuff you can't otherwise get in your area. I have fallen in love with "Goody's Headache Powder" which is unheard of and unknown up here in da Nort. Amazon is the only place that has a supplier (that I have found) that will ship it.

Was the difference in price more than the extra expense of driving to Walmart? For me the nearest Walmart is over 20 miles away, and even with my car getting nearly 40MPG, the trip would still cost as much in gas as it does for the items, not to mention the time I spend on that chore, and the aggravation of dealing with Walmart. Sometimes the convenience is worth a small premium. |

I used to not care for it, since I lived in WA. The regular free shipping was already 2 days (maybe even less) if they ship from Seattle, and I had to fork over the 8.9% tax.
Living in MS, I now love it, as I live in the middle of (almost) nowhere, and no tax. I can get stuff that would be otherwise hard to find. |

If your UPS man doesn't already know you by name and face he will after a few weeks of Amazon Prime This....My Ups guy just started bringing stuff to my office instead of my house. Everyone at the office jokes when he comes in and doesn't bring me something. |

Student Amazon Prime... If you happen to be going to an eligible school, it is free. (The wife is going to grad school) This. If you have a .edu email address, the first year is free, the next 3 years are half price. Well worth it. I had a 90 lb. futon frame shipped overnight for $3.99. Is that worth it? Idk, you figure out overnight shipping costs on a 90 lb oversized item. |

If your UPS man doesn't already know you by name and face he will after a few weeks of Amazon Prime True. My wife has it and I was talking to the UPS guy the other night. He says the day just feels wrong without a visit to our house. Too bad Amazon doesn't sell ammo, or I would take out his back. |
